“I started Crossfit in January 2019. I’d always been a gym person and a runner, Crossfit wasn’t something I’d really thought about until a friend asked me to go with her.
We signed up for the taster session, then completed out fundamentals. I’ve never really lifted heavy weights before, Body pump classes in the gym were the nearest thing so I felt totally out of my comfort zone.
We booked onto our first class and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I loved it and from that moment was hooked.
Everyone is so friendly and helpful; your goals are your own to smash but everyone down at the box routes for you.
A lot of friends ask me why I love Crossfit and the reason is that every session is different and at times will push you to your limits. I love the community spirit that we have, it’s so supportive and friendly. For me it’s also about proving to myself that I can do some of the things that I never thought I’d be able too.
After raving about it so much, my husband wanted to come and join in and he loves it too!
I would say to anyone that wants to know more about Crossfit to come down and give it a try, you won’t regret it. The coaches are very knowledgeable and are always on hand to give advice and help.
